Cradles of Hope
The Cradle Project is a fund raising art installation designed to represent the plight of children who have been orphaned by disease and poverty in Africa. The Mission is to promote awareness and raise financial support to help feed, shelter, and educate these children. The vision is to utilize the symbolism of empty cradles to represent the lost potential of these orphaned children. Each cradle is to be made predominately out of found, scrap, or throwaway material. The donating artist is to find sponsorship for their piece in the amount of $100. Additionaly, there will be an on-line auction where each of the cradles can be purchased.
